Review: A little plotty in the middle but hits everywhere it needs to while unabashadly having as much fun as possible as it goes.

Director: Edgar Wright

Review: Gets a little lost and rushed towards the end but otherwise delivers plenty of interesting story and makes a good case for its subject.

Watch it if: You have an interest in avant-garde pop music.

And if you liked: Scott Walker: 30 Century Man, Sound City

Hearts in Atlantis

Director: Scott Hicks

Review: A fairly anodyne adaptation that loses a lot of heft in its need to remain faithful to the text.

Watch it if: You're interested in a slightly different coming of age film, even if it's not a very interesting one.
